Publication Terms

General Principles

1. Researchers shall adhere to the standards and ethics of scientific research, in accordance with the COPE guidelines.
2. Submitted research must be original, not previously published in any form —print or electronic—not derived from another researcher’s work and not submitted simultaneously to more than one journal.
3. Researchers shall uphold academic integrity in citation and documentation and must disclose any conflicts of interest or financial support related to their research that may affect its impartiality or results.
4. In the case of joint authorship, all authors must have made a substansial scholarly contribution to the reaserch, approve the final version and the order of authorship. One author shall act as the corresponding author on behalf of the group, with a clear statement of each contributor’s role.
5. Submitted works and research must demonstrate novelty, usefulness, and clarity in presentation.
6. Manuscripts must be free of linguistic, grammatical, and typographical errors, with proper attention to punctuation.
7. The Editorial Board reserves the right to take appropriate action if a researcher violates Publication Ethics Policy or Publication Terms, and the researcher shall bear any resulting legal consequences.
8. Submitted research or other contributions must fall within the journal’s stated areas of publication or directly related fields.

Submission and Peer Review

1. All manuscripts and works must be submitted in Arabic via the journal’s designated email, accompanied by the researcher’s official identification documents.
2. The manuscript shall be submitted in two files: the first as a complete Word file, and the second as a PDF file with all identifying information about the author removed from both the title page and the body of the text.
3. Submission of a manuscript via the journal’s email constitutes the researcher’s acceptance of all provisions of the Publication Ethics Policy and Publication Terms.
4. Every submission undergoes an initial screening—covering originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, and compliance with the announced guidelines—within a maximum of 15 days of receipt.
5. All manuscripts passing the initial screening are reviewed by two experts in the field. In the event of disagreement between the reviewers, the manuscript will be referred to a third reviewer, or a decision will be made by the Editorial Board within a maximum of 45 days.
6. The journal applies a double-blind peer-review policy, whereby the identities of both authors and reviewers remain concealed from each other.
7. Authors are required to implement the revisions indicated in the reviewers’ reports and to submit a response document detailing all changes made and justifying any that were not implemented within 15 days of receiving the feedback. Failure to comply will be deemed a withdrawal of the manuscript.
8. Withdrawal of a manuscript after the peer review process has begun is not permitted except for compelling scientific reasons and upon submitting a formal written request.
9. The Editorial Board makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of all submissions. In the case of rejection, the author will be notified with the reasons stated.

Documentation and References

10. Quranic verses shall be cited in the body of the text only, indicating the surah name and verse number in square brackets. As for Hadiths, it is sufficient to mention the source and hadith number, without reference to the volume, page, or chapter name unless required for clarity.
11. Footnotes shall appear at the bottom of the page with continuous numbering from the beginning to the end of the manuscript.
12. Footnotes shall follow the order: (Book Title, Author’s Name, Volume/Page Number), in accordance with the scholarly conventions used in documenting islamic studies.
13. The journal follows the ALA rules for references, using the Chicago style as follows: (Author’s Last Name, First Name, Title of the Work, Place of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication). References shall be arranged alphabetically at the end of the manuscript, with titles in bold, and romanized according to the ALA-LC system in a separate list.

Formatting and Production

14. Manuscripts shall be submitted as Word files, with font size 16 for the main text and 12 for footnotes, using “Traditional Arabic” font for Arabic text and “Times New Roman” for English text.
15. The manuscript shall not exceed 50 pages (A4 size) or approximately 15,000 words, including the abstract, footnotes, and references. Longer manuscripts may be published at the discretion of the Editorial Board or split across two or more issues with the author’s agreement.
16. Each manuscript shall include an introductory section addressing the research’s significance, problem statement, objectives, related previous studies and the added scientific contribution, as well as the research plan.
17. The author shall attach a concise CV including full name, academic degree, institutional affiliation, main scholarly works, email address, phone number, and ORCID ID, using the designated form.
18. The author shall attach an abstract of no more than 250 words on a single page, including the research topic, objectives, methodology, key findings, and recommendations, along with 3–6 keywords. The abstract shall also be accurately translated into English.

Copyright

19. Publication in the journal is free of charge and non-profit; authors are not entitled to any financial compensation.
20. The journal retains the copyright and publication rights for accepted manuscripts and may republish them in print or electronic form and include them in local and international databases without requiring the author’s permission.
21. Authors may not republish their work in any other form—print or electronic—until six months after its publication in the journal and must acknowledge the original source.
22. The views expressed in published manuscripts are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the journal or its members. Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their work.
23. The Editorial Board reserves the right to determine the order and priority of publication of manuscripts.
24. Upon publication, the author will receive a full electronic copy of the journal and their article and may request up to five free print copies of the issue from the publisher.
25. The journal follows an immediate Open Access policy. Manuscripts are published under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC).
26. All published manuscripts receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and are archived on the journal’s website.
