Publication Ethics Policy

• The Journal of Hanbali Fiqh and its Principles is committed to the international standards of scientific publication ethics issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring integrity, transparency, and quality at all stages of publication and peer review.
• Responsibilities of Researchers
• Originality: Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not submitted simultaneously to more than one journal.
• Academic Integrity: All sources must be accurately cited; plagiarism or the unacknowledged use of others’ work is strictly prohibited.
• Authorship and Responsibility: Only actual contributors should be listed as authors; no honorary or ghost authorship is permitted.
• Methodology: Adhere to a sound scientific research methodology, ensure linguistic accuracy throughout the manuscript, and present findings with precise and faithful reporting.
• Disclosure: Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest—financial, personal, or academic—that could affect the neutrality or results of the research and declare any sources of funding or support.
• Correction or Retraction: Authors are obliged to request a correction or retraction if they discover a significant error after publication.
• Responsibilities of Reviewers
• Confidentiality: Manuscripts under review must not be shared or used for personal benefit prior to publication.
• Double-Blind Review: Reviews must be conducted with full confidentiality under the double-blind system.
• Impartiality: Evaluate manuscripts solely on their scholarly content, free from personal or institutional bias.
• Objectivity: Provide constructive, evidence-based feedback highlighting both strengths and weaknesses.
• Disclosure: Decline to review any manuscript if a conflict of interest exists with the author (e.g., kinship or dispute) or with the subject matter.
• Integrity: Notify the journal of any suspicion of plagiarism or significant similarity to other published works.
• Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
• Fairness: Publication decisions are based exclusively on the scholarly merit of the work, without personal or institutional influence.
• Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts throughout the evaluation process and do not exploit them in any way.
• Transparency: Provide authors with clear and transparent reasons for any decision to reject a manuscript.
• Conflict of Interest: Editors and reviewers must not be involved in decisions about manuscripts from which they could derive personal benefit.
• Integrity: Retract or correct any manuscript later found to contain plagiarism or major ethical violations, with an official statement issued.
• Diversity: Promote diversity and impartiality in the selection of editors and reviewers, drawing on both local and international expertise.
• Handling Complaints: Provide a clear mechanism for handling complaints, appeals, and research disputes in accordance with COPE standards.
• Regularity: Publish the journal on schedule and maintain consistent periodicity.
